Plantation Hall

The Plantation Hall, situated at King George V Playing Field, Colchester Road, provides Heybridge with an attractive, all-purpose venue for the village community. It is owned and managed directly by the Parish Council. The caretaking staff at Plantation Hall look after the lettings administration. Caretaker services include the setting out of furniture to suit hirers’ individual requirements and a reasonable amount of secure storage can be provided for materials and equipment needed by regular users. The facilities include -
	Main hall - a spacious and attractive assembly room of approx. 90 sq.m. suitable for playgroups, fitness activities, clubs, meetings, parties and dances. Special features are beech wood flooring and underfloor heating, with ceiling fans to re-circulate heated air or provide summer cooling. There is a door and serving hatch to the kitchen, and also a separate door to the meeting room (which can be used as a side room or bar for social functions). The hall can be used as a fully-open space or laid out with tables and chairs as required, or laid out with chairs only for up to 100 people.
	Meeting room - with an area of 27 sq.m., this is designed for smaller groups, committee meetings, discussion groups or small business seminars. Carpeted and with low-touch-temperature radiators, it is equipped with conference tables adaptable to a variety of layouts. A white board and flip chart are available. Kitchen - a fully-equipped 16 sq.m. kitchen with modern cooker, fridge, and water heater for hot drinks. Extensive worktop space and ample cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery for full meals service. Use of kitchen is free for tea and coffee making - cups, saucers and spoons supplied.
	Changing Rooms - with hot showers, accommodation for two football teams. Separate referee’s room. Although accessible from the main hall area, independent access from playing field for football matches.Toilets - men’s and women’s toilets with instant hot water and hand dryers. Separate adapted toilet for disabled persons, also with baby changing facilities.
The Claydon Room
	A separate and independent meeting room, fully provided with the latest in information technology, wireless internet for short courses and training facilities, and able to accommodate groups of up to 30.  A refreshment bar is included.
