Charity of the Year 2016-2017

The Parish Council has chosen Heybridge Primary School PTFA to be charity of the year. The Council will be holding various fundraising events throughout the year.

The PTFA have said the following:-

Heybridge Primary School Parent, Teacher and Friends Association is a registered charity whose primary aim is to raise additional funds for our local primary school. Our remit is to provide resources that will benefit and enhance the education of the children at Heybridge Primary School.

All parents automatically become members of the association when their child enters the school, however a core group of parents take the lead in organising the fundraising activities. All of these additional roles rely heavily on volunteers and good will.

The PTFA has seen additional benefits over recent times where activities have begun to include other sectors of the community, we link closely with many local organisations and our highlight of the year is our Summer Fair.

We are thrilled to be chosen by the Parish Council and hope to work closely together over the coming year.

The Parish Council presented a cheque for £1336.69 to the PTFA on 20th April 2017.
